Human Desmoglein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Desmoglein 1 (DSG1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Desmoglein 1/DSG1. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target analyte is captured by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Desmoglein 1/DSG1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Desmoglein 1/DSG1 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.126 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m on a pre-coated microplate platform (12 x 8 well strips) using colourmetric detection. Kit components supplied include a Pre-Coated 96 Well Microplate, Lyophilized Standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive Plate Sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The assay is reactive with human samples.
