Human Dermcidin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, the Human Dermcidin ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human DCD in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-DCD detection antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Bound DCD is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.31 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation data show recovery in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%), and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%) across n=5 per matrix, with dilution linearity demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. The kit is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
