Human Defensin Beta 131 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro measurement of human Defensin beta 131 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format, with a biotinylated anti-Defensin beta 131 detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a stated sensitivity of 5.7 pg/ml. The full protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values across sample matrices are 91% for serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 91–99%, n=5) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90–99%, n=5), and dilution linearity is described at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each matrix.

Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated per vial, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
