Human Defensin Beta 124 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Defensin beta 124 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for Defensin beta 124 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Defensin beta 124 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well, read at 450nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <5.6 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, and total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Average recovery values in spiked samples are reported as 91% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma, and 94% in heparin plasma.
