Human Defensin Beta 112 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Defensin beta 112 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. It uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Defensin beta 112 is immobilised on the plate, with captured analyte detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Defensin beta 112 Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay reports a sensitivity of <29.4 pg/ml and a measuring range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed. Reported recovery averages across sample types are 91% for serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90–98%, n=5), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89–102%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been evaluated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions.
