Human Defensin Alpha 3, Neutrophil Specific ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Defensin Alpha 3, Neutrophil Specific (HP-3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay shows reactivity with human samples.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a biotinylated anti-HP-3 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard curve covers a range of 46.8–3000 pg/ml, sensitivity is <16.47 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.

Reported sample recovery averages are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity is reported between 70% and 110% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions (n=5).
