Human Defensin Alpha 1, Neutrophil ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human alpha Defensin 1 (Neutrophil Defensin Alpha 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and a biotinylated anti-alpha Defensin 1 detection antibody, followed by HRP-avidin and a TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative working range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.146 ng/ml, and the run time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery is 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma, and dilution linearity has been demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 across these sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
