Human Death Associated Protein Kinase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this is a sandwich ELISA (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human DAP Kinase 1 (Death Associated Protein Kinase 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for DAP Kinase 1; standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-DAP Kinase 1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of DAP Kinase 1 is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The stated assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.052 ng/ml. In sample recovery testing, serum ranged from 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Acceptable sample types include serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, cell culture supernatant, tissue homogenates, and cell lysates.
