Human D-Dimer ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human D-Dimer in plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for D-Dimer. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where D-Dimer present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-D-Dimer Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of D-Dimer captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

The stated product range is 78.1-5000 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <24.7 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery data include serum (average 91%, range 83%-100%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 96%, range 90%-103%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 94%, range 90%-99%, n=5), with dilution linearity tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
