Human Cytokeratin Fragment Antigen 21-1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cytokeratin Fragment Antigen 21-1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, saliva or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate and a colorimetric detection method, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

An antibody specific for Cytokeratin Fragment Antigen 21-1 is pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the analyte present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Cytokeratin Fragment Antigen 21-1 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by addition of an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then added, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of analyte captured, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm and referring to the standard curve.

The product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.124 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery ranges are 82%-102% for serum (average 92%, n=5), 90%-103% for EDTA plasma (average 96%, n=5), and 88%-100% for heparin plasma (average 94%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
