Human Cytochrome P450 7A1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cytochrome P450 7A1 (CYP7A1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with anti-CYP7A1 antibody and supplied as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-CYP7A1 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and CYP7A1 concentration is calculated from the standard curve. Sensitivity is reported as <0.34 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Reported sample recovery values are serum (n=5) 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 81–101% (average 91%) and heparin plasma (n=5) 80–89% (average 84%), with dilutional linearity data provided for these matrices at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
