Human Cytochrome P450 26A1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CYP26A1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for CYP26A1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where CYP26A1 is bound by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CYP26A1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CYP26A1 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The pre-coated 96-well microplate is configured as 12 x 8 well strips, and detection is colorimetric. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery data are reported across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Average recovery values are 91% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma.
