Human Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit IV Isoform 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit IV Isoform 1 (COX IV) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate with an antibody specific for COX IV; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-COX IV detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.058 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery has been reported as 80-102% (n=5, average 91%) in serum, 81-101% (n=5, average 91%) in EDTA plasma and 80-89% (n=5, average 84%) in heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions has been reported as 87-91% to 92-97% in serum, 90-105% to 79-108% in EDTA plasma, and 84-95% to 89-91% in heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The product is intended for research use only.
