Human Cystatin C ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro determination of human Cystatin C in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The assay is built on a monoclonal antibody specific for human Cystatin C immobilised on microwells, with a biotin-linked detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP providing a colorimetric readout. It recognises both native and recombinant human Cystatin C and shows no significant cross-reactivity.

Standards and samples are incubated with the immobilised capture antibody and biotin-linked detector, washed to remove unbound material, and then developed with streptavidin-HRP and substrate. Colour development is stopped with acid and the optical density is read on a microplate reader, with signal proportional to the amount of target bound. The reported working range is 31.25–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 10.57 pg/ml. Kits should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
