Human Cystatin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cystatin SA/CST2. The assay is intended for tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard measuring range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.052 ng/ml. The complete protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes and uses a biotinylated anti-Cystatin SA/CST2 detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting yellow colour intensity is proportional to target concentration. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported recovery in spiked samples (n=5) averaged 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (all n=5).
