Human Cystatin 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cystatin SN/CST1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-Cystatin SN/CST1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. After incubation with TMB substrate, an acidic stop solution is added and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with the concentration calculated against a standard curve covering a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported average recoveries (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (80–89%). Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
