Human Cystathionine Gamma Lyase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Cystathionine Gamma Lyase (also referred to as Cystathionase/CTH). The kit is intended for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids, and is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

Standards and samples are captured by an antibody specific for Cystathionase/CTH pre-coated on the plate, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Cystathionase/CTH Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, and the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to target concentration. The reported sensitivity is <0.63 ng/ml and the assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated. Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each), with reported recovery ranges of 80%-102%, 81%-100% and 80%-89% respectively, and average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84%. Dilution linearity has also been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same matrices.
