Human Cyclophilin A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cyclophilin A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Cyclophilin A is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate; standards and samples are added and Cyclophilin A is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Cyclophilin A Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of Cyclophilin A is calculated from the standard curve.

The reported standard curve range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported average recoveries are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%).
