Human Cyclin Dependent Kinase 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of human Cyclin Dependent Kinase 5 (CDK5) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The Antibodies.com kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated 96-well microplate. An antibody specific for CDK5 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-CDK5 Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of 0.106 ng/ml, and the procedure takes approximately 4 h 30 min. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery was assessed in spiked samples: Serum (n=5) 80-102% averaging 91%, EDTA Plasma (n=5) 81-100% averaging 90%, and Heparin Plasma (n=5) 80-89% averaging 84%. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was reported for Serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA Plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and Heparin Plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%).
