From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cyclin Dependent Kinase 1 (CDK1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for CDK1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate of 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, CDK1 is captured by the immobilised antibody, and detection is achieved with a Biotinylated Anti-CDK1 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative colorimetric assay runs in 4h 30m, with a reported sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml and a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Reported average recovery (n=5) is 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, observed recovery ranges are 87–91% to 92–97% for serum, 90–105% to 79–108% for EDTA plasma, and 84–95% to 89–91% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
