Human Cortistatin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Human Cortistatin ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CORT in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for CORT that is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-CORT antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a colour change that is read at 450nm in a microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to the concentration of CORT captured in each well.

The assay has a working range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.66 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated at 80%-102% in serum, 81%-100% in EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% in heparin plasma, with linearity assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices. The product is intended for research use only.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Required materials not provided include a microplate reader capable of measuring absorbance at 450nm ± 10nm, multi- and single-channel pipettes with sterile tips, a multichannel pipette reservoir or automated plate washer, test tubes and Eppendorf tubes for preparing standards and samples, deionized or distilled water, absorbent paper towels, and a 37°C incubator.
