Human Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Binding Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Binding Protein (CRHBP) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate platform.

An antibody specific for CRHBP is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standards and test samples are added, and CRHBP is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CRHBP Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and CRHBP concentration is calculated from a standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit has an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.052 ng/ml. Reported average recovery for serum is 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity has been reported across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
