Human Corticosteroid Binding Globulin ELISA Kit

The assay uses a 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips) pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for Corticosteroid Binding Globulin. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the target analyte is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Corticosteroid Binding Globulin antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. Following further incubation and washing, TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the yellow intensity is proportional to the analyte concentration and is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of <1.42 ng/ml and a measurable range of 3.12–200 ng/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges are 80%–102% for serum (n=5), 81%–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same matrices.
