From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Coronin 1A (also referred to as Coronin 1a/TACO) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-Coronin 1a/TACO detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is read colorimetrically at 450 nm and the density of the yellow colour produced is proportional to the amount of Coronin 1a/TACO captured in each well.
Key performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.127 ng/ml and a total assay time of approximately 4 h 30 min. Spiked recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 83-100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 90-98%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 89-102%). Linearity has been demonstrated across serial two-fold dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed on the labels and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
