Human Corneodesmosin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Corneodesmosin/S Protein in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing immobilised antibody specific for Corneodesmosin/S Protein. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Corneodesmosin/S Protein antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported performance figures include a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.038 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery averaged 91% in serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%); dilution linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in the same three matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
