Human Connexin 26 ELISA Kit

Designed by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human GJB2 (Connexin 26), this sandwich ELISA is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips); standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-GJB2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Bound GJB2 is visualised with TMB substrate, and the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with concentration calculated against the standard curve.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a sensitivity of <0.124 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Reported average sample recoveries are 91% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma. The kit is reactive with human samples, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
