Human Complement Receptor 1, Erythrocyte ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement Receptor 1 (also known as CD35) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate to which an antibody specific for CD35 has been immobilised; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-CD35 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is revealed with TMB substrate, producing a blue colour that converts to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, sensitivity is <0.11 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recoveries (n=5) are 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. The kit is supplied on a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate, with lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer concentrate, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
