Human Complement Factor I ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Factor I/CFI, also known as Complement Factor I, in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-Factor I/CFI detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Manufacturer-reported performance includes an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.051 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing returned ranges of 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types. Components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
