Human Complement Factor H Related Protein 5 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement Factor H Related Protein 5 (CFHR5) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay format on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. A CFHR5-specific antibody is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added and, following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CFHR5 Antibody is applied. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, and the enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the CFHR5 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. The assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.74 ng/ml. Validation data report mean recoveries (n=5) of 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
