Human Complement Factor D ELISA Kit

An antibody specific for Factor D/CFD is immobilised on the plate to capture the analyte from standards and test samples. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Factor D/CFD Antibody is added, then an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and finally a TMB substrate solution. Catalysis produces a blue product that changes to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of Factor D/CFD captured. The stated product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.6 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported recovery ranges for serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are provided, with average recoveries between 84% and 91%. Kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers, each with the storage temperature specified by the manufacturer.
