Human Complement Factor B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay enables in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement Factor B in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Complement Factor B is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and captured Complement Factor B is detected using a biotinylated anti-Complement Factor B antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The concentration of Complement Factor B is calculated by referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 0.625–40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.278 ng/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values (n=5) are 80%–102% in serum (average 91%), 81%–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80%–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%), and linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard supplied in 2 vials, detection solutions A and B (120 µl each), 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
