Human Complement Component 8g ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human C8G in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. It is the Human C8G ELISA Kit.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for C8G has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where C8G is bound by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-C8G Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by addition of an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of C8G captured. Concentration is calculated by reading O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

Sensitivity is reported as less than 31 pg/ml with an assay range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml. Reported recovery averages 93% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips, with an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
