Human Complement Component 5a ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement C5a in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids [S1]. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-Complement C5a detection antibody and HRP-avidin, visualised using TMB substrate whose absorbance is read at 450 nm [S1].

Stated sensitivity is <31 pg/ml with a measurable range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, and the assay is completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes [S1]. Reported spike-and-recovery values were 83–100% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 90–99% in EDTA plasma (average 94%, n=5) and 91–101% in heparin plasma (average 96%, n=5) [S1]. Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma [S1].
