Human Complement Component 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement C5 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The workflow uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-Complement C5 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate development read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is less than 0.38 ng/ml with a standard curve range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed. Spike-and-recovery performance is reported as 80–102 % (mean 91 %, n=5) in serum, 81–99 % (mean 90 %, n=5) in EDTA plasma and 80–89 % (mean 84 %, n=5) in heparin plasma. The assay is specific for human Complement Component 5.
