Human Complement Component 4b ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com distributes a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement C4b in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids [S1]. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for Complement C4b has been immobilised; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Complement C4b detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader [S1].

The reported assay range is 4.68–300 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.8 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes [S1]. Recovery performance has been validated in serum (average 91%, range 83–100%), EDTA plasma (average 94%, range 91–98%), and heparin plasma (average 94%, range 90–99%) across n=5 samples each, and dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in all three sample types [S1].
