Human Complement Component 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement Component 3 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) is bound with a capture antibody specific for Complement C3, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-Complement C3 antibody together with an HRP conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed. Reported average recovery in serum is 91% (range 80%–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%–99%, n=5) and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80%–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
