From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human C1QA in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) using a biotinylated anti-C1QA detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Stated performance figures include a sensitivity of 0.059 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Internal validation reported mean recovery of 95% in serum (range 89-102%), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90-103%) and 96% in heparin plasma (range 92-100%), with n=5 for each matrix. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
