Human Complement 1 Inhibitor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Complement 1 Inhibitor (C1 Inhibitor) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay is configured for use with serum and plasma samples and is reactive with human C1 Inhibitor.

The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate. C1 Inhibitor in standards and test samples is captured by an immobilised antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-C1 Inhibitor antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, and visualised with TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm and quantified against the standard curve. The quantitative colourimetric assay has a working range of 0.781-50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.33 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Reported spike-and-recovery data (n=5) gave ranges and averages of: Serum 80%-102% (91%), EDTA plasma 81%-100% (90%), Heparin plasma 80%-89% (84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5): Serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; Heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
