Human Collagen Type VII ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Collagen VII in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Collagen VII pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Collagen VII Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <0.069 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Validation studies (n=5) report average recovery of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma.
