Human Collagen Type IV Alpha 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human COL4A3 (Collagen Type IV Alpha 3) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated microplate to which standards and samples are added; bound COL4A3 is detected using a biotinylated anti-COL4A3 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, with the concentration of COL4A3 calculated against a standard curve.

The assay provides quantitative measurement across a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml, and a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation data report an average recovery of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81–101%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in each of the three matrices. The kit is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
