Human Collagen Type III Alpha 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this quantitative sandwich immunoassay is designed for the in vitro determination of human Collagen Type III Alpha 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with a Collagen III-specific capture antibody; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Collagen III detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm, with absorbance proportional to Collagen III concentration. Reported sensitivity is <0.226 ng/ml, assay range 0.625–40 ng/ml, and the protocol completes in 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery data (n=5): serum 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–101% (average 91%), heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16: serum 70–107%, 89–93%, 86–104% and 80–103%; EDTA plasma 95–100%, 85–110%, 81–99% and 90–102%; heparin plasma 77–104%, 88–95%, 94–104% and 80–107%.
