From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cluster of Differentiation 24 (CD24) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CD24; standards and samples are added to the wells, captured CD24 is bound by a biotinylated anti-CD24 antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a coloured product that is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit has a stated detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Internal validation recovery data (n=5) reported averages of 91% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma, and 94% in heparin plasma, with linearity maintained across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions in the same matrices.
