Human Claudin 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com intended for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Claudin 5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-Claudin 5 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is converted to a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to the amount of Claudin 5 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include a measuring range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.124 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery evaluation (n=5 per matrix) gave mean recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
