Human Clara Cell Protein 16 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Clara Cell Protein 16 (also known as Uteroglobin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, lung lavage fluid, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Uteroglobin pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added, followed by Biotinylated Anti-Uteroglobin Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate; the reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The assay has a product range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 23.5 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Validated recovery in human samples averaged 91% in serum (range 83-100%, n=5), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90-103%, n=5) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 89-102%, n=5), with linearity demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each sample type.
