Human Citrate Synthase ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Citrate Synthase (also referred to as Citrate Synthetase) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Standards and samples are added to the wells, captured by an immobilised antibody specific for Citrate Synthetase, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Citrate Synthetase Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is added and the absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of Citrate Synthetase calculated from the standard curve. The stated product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, the sensitivity is 0.066 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%–102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–102%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%), with linearity data provided across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components are to be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
