Human Cholinergic Receptor, Nicotinic, Alpha 7 ELISA Kit

The assay employs a pre-coated microplate format with a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate produces a colorimetric end-point read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and the concentration of target in each well is calculated against a standard curve.

Quantitative performance is characterised by a product range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.112 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery was demonstrated across serum (average 91%, range 80%-102%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 91%, range 81%-101%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80%-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 with all three matrices yielding recoveries within the reported ranges, and the kit is described as suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
