Human Cholinergic Receptor, Nicotinic, Alpha 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor alpha 5 (CHRNA5) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Performance figures reported by the manufacturer include a standard curve range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.048 ng/ml, and an assay time of 4h 30m. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80–102% (average 91%, n=5) for serum, 81–101% (average 91%, n=5) for EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%, n=5) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5 per matrix) is given as serum 70–107% / 89–93% / 86–104% / 80–103%; EDTA plasma 95–100% / 85–110% / 81–99% / 90–102%; heparin plasma 77–104% / 88–95% / 94–104% / 80–107%.
