The assay is compatible with tissue homogenates, serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.107 ng/ml. The complete assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.
