Human Choline Acetyltransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Choline Acetyltransferase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for Choline Acetyltransferase pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, the target binds to the immobilized antibody, and a biotinylated anti-Choline Acetyltransferase detection antibody is applied. Following incubation with HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, the reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The quantitative assay has a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colorimetric, and the platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
