The assay uses a 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) pre-coated with antibody specific for CX3CR1, with detection via biotinylated anti-CX3CR1 antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate; TMB substrate produces a yellow chromogen read at 450 nm in a microplate reader [S1].
